The Galaxy was founded in 1994 and are playing their home matches in Major League Soccer (MLS) at Dignity Health Sports Park in the Los Angeles suburb of Carson.
LA Galaxy is one of Major League Soccer's most successful teams, with a record of five MLS Cups and having appeared an additional four time in the final, and won the Western Conference regular-season title eight times.
The club has fielded a number of high-profile international players including David Beckham, Ashley Cole and Robbie Keane. On March 23, 2018, the club made international headlines with the signing of the Swedish superstar Zlatan Ibrahimović.
In his first season with the Galaxy, he enjoyed a remarkable debut year becoming one of three players in league history with 20-plus goals and 10-plus assists in a season.
